As the Overwatch League All-Star players go head-to-head this weekend, we hope you’ll join us in funneling that energy and excitement towards an important cause: supporting children’s hospitals. 100% of your Cheers this weekend on /OverwatchLeague and regional channels will support Child’s Play*, a charity that provides games, toys, and electronic entertainment to over 160 Children’s Hospitals worldwide and 100 domestic violence shelters across the US. Through the support of the community, Child’s Play is able to have an impact on the lives of over 1 million children per year.

About Child’s Play

Since 2003, Child’s Play set up and organized numerous game industry events dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in their network of over 160 hospitals worldwide. They have funded eight gaming and technology specialists in the hospital whose job is to be on the cutting edge of therapeutic gaming, bringing VR and AR bedside, and educating on how to use games as a part of the healing process. They have worked closely with EEDAR to develop a Therapeutic Video Game Guide that helps explain how games like Overwatch can be used as a way to help the healing process.

Q. When does the donation campaign begin and end?

We’ll begin August 25, 2018 at 12:01 AM PST and end on August 26, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST. Cheering while the channel is offline still counts!

Q. What channels can I Cheer on?

You can cheer on any of the Overwatch League channels — English, French, Korean, Chinese Mandarin, or Mandarin Taiwanese.

Q. Do small amounts of Bits count?

Yes. All Bits will be counted towards the total.

Q. Do Cheermotes count? Can I use OWLFLA1000, OWLNYE500, OWLPHI1 etc.?

Yes. All Bits, including any Cheermote, will be counted towards the total.

Q. Do I need to use a hashtag or any way of marking the donation?

No. All Bits Cheered will be counted towards the total.

Q. Do I still unlock emotes and rewards when I cheer during the donation campaign?

Yes, you still unlock the /OverwatchLeague rewards.
