Our Winners for Twitch DevJam: 2019 are...!

From July to October, our Twitch developer community (ahem, that’s you) has been hard at work creating, building, and launching game-matched experiences with Extensions! The results of their labor have opened new doors for gameplay and boosted engagement within these communities on Twitch.

The judges have spoken and the votes are in. And now the winners have been announced!

Watch the announcement broadcast on the TwitchDev channel and check out the the winning submissions below.

Grand Prize

Too Many Fleet Commanders, created by Matt Leebert

| | The Too Many Fleet Commanders extension is a fully-fledged Twitch Plays experience for EVE Online. All viewer commands have been moved from Twitch chat to interactive commands in the extension. Viewers can quickly become accustomed to the commands and chat is free to coordinate, compete or PogChamp. |

Finalists

Let’s Play Together, created by Yehor Skrypnyk & podliy16

| | The work of this extension is based on periodic voting for events that will occur in the game. Channel viewers interact with the game through single, multi, and challenge voting with a tab for event and item information so the viewers can learn how to help or hurt the streamer with their votes. |

Chat Torture, created by Tyler Rister & Levi Boulis

| | After a streamer installs a mod and set’s their configuration, it will display their configured options to their viewers. These options are things like summoning a creeper, removing their inventory, setting the player on fire, etc… The streamer can configure all of these options to require whatever bits they choose. |

Keep Watching and Nobody Explodes, created by Thomas Tuts

| | The extension allows viewers to take on the ’expert’ role, where they guide the defuser (in this case, the streamer). Before this extension, it’s been hard to play this game together with viewers, since their only way of communication is the chat, and they’re able to see the bomb (which goes against the spirit of the game). |

Rimconnect, created by Rohan Richards & Russell Long

| | Moderators (and the Broadcaster) can create a poll, with options selected from a defined list of in-game events. Viewers then vote on their preferred outcome, and the game automatically triggers the winning event. This all occurs within the Twitch ecosystem via the video overlay extension, giving the viewer, moderator and broadcaster a unified experience; Never needing to leave Twitch. |

Best Mobile Implementation

Ghost Scan, created by Richard Deveraux

| | Ghost Scan gives viewers access to useful information about a streamer’s Destiny 2 profile so they can focus on playing. Streamers also have access to this information via the Creator Dashboard. |

Broadcaster’s Choice

Let’s Play Together, created by Yehor Skrypnyk & podliy16

| | The work of this extension is based on periodic voting for events that will occur in the game. Channel viewers interact with the game through single, multi, and challenge voting with a tab for event and item information so the viewers can learn how to help or hurt the streamer with their votes. |

Viewer’s Choice

**Stream Engineer, **created by Gustaf Jargren

| | This extension allows the broadcaster to set up actions that can be triggered by the viewers with bits. This allows the viewers to have an impact on the game by either helping the broadcaster out or hindering them. |

Honorable Mention

Calculator, created by twobackfromtheend

| | Tabs show the various customization options being used by the streamer. Current session win/loss records are kept track of and is displayed. Links to more in-depth game statistics are available for each game. |

Victory Royale Tracker, created by Bradley Grantham

| | The extension is a video overlay which contains a little trophy icon placed on the right hand side of the video. Every time the streamer gets a victory royale it gets updated to show the number of victory royales that have been achieved during the current stream. |

Kouch for Dota 2, created by Pavel Gushchin

| | This extension provides your viewers with more detailed and useful information about how you play, such as skills and talent builds, where the streamer spends most of the time on the map, where the streamer kills enemy heroes, and where enemies kill the hero… Just to name a few! |

These were chosen out of 34 game-matched Extension experiences. Check out all the submissions here.

Congratulations to all of the winners and “thank you” to everyone who submitted! Want to see these in action? All of these Extensions are live in the Extensions Manager now.

And we would like to give a special shoutout to Devpost, our partner in running this challenge.
