Launch Back to the 1980’s with the Starcade Marathon — Coming This August

Get ready to travel back to the golden age of video games. 123 episodes of Starcade, the world’s first video arcade game show, are set to air this August on /ShoutFactoryTV.

In order to rule the arcade, contestants have to compete against one another in 80’s classics like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga and Centipede. If you’re a bit too young for the days of quarters and arcade cabinets, just think of it as a forebearer of esports — only with Walkman as prizes instead of giant checks.

Featuring many episodes not seen in decades, Starcade will look better than ever, thanks to being newly digitized from the original master tapes. However, we suggest watching on CRT monitors for optimal effect.
