Raise your game for Comic Relief
One of the UK’s most loved charities, Comic Relief, is known not only for its work raising awareness for causes like youth homelessness, but also for recruiting the nation’s brightest stars to do something challenging in the name of a good cause. This year they’ve asked their celebrity supporters to join forces with some of our very own Twitch partners and broadcast their gaming skills live from Twitch UK HQ.
Kicking off on 20th February at 5pm GMT, partners MissEllaCronin, Two Angry Gamers TV and Stodeh will join Olympic medalist Louis Smith to bash buttons and claim Super Smash Bros. bragging rights.
At 5pm GMT on Tuesday 21st February, England and Tottenham Hotspurs player Dele Alli will put his virtual footwork to the test with the help of Spamfish and PhantomSFX.
Messiah_tr, LTZonda, and Jay1FifaKing will take on Soccer AM’s Adam Smith, and international footballer Alex Scott at the virtual beautiful game, FIFA 17 on Wednesday 22nd February from 5PM GMT.
On Thursday 23rd February at 6:30pm, the hilarious Rob Beckett and Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing will join the Yogscast crew to see if you can still laugh last when you come last…
And it’s not just famous faces who can fundraise for Comic Relief — the charity would love to see as many of you as possible becoming GameRaisers, raising money for the cause on your own channels. UK broadcasters over the age of 18 will also be given the chance to win prizes including tickets to Insomnia Gaming Festival, tickets to 02 academy events and bundles of HyperX gaming hardware throughout the week.
