PAX East Twitch Town Hall Product Recap
The Twitch Town Hall on Day 1 of PAX East just wrapped up, and in case you missed the live stream, we’ve got you covered with a recap of today’s brand new product announcements.
Friends
Twitch is about to become much more friendly… with the introduction of Friends List! Friends List lets you connect to Friends, see who’s online, and whisper them with just one click! Soon we will be sending out the first round of invites for the Friends List Beta. Once you’re in, you’ll have your very own Friends List and be able to send Friend requests to other Twitch users that will double as invitations to the Beta.
Creative
Twitch Creative showed off the newly redesigned Creative Directory!
Twitch Creative has always been built around the incredible communities of streamers that are showcasing their creative talents, and the new design helps us better support communities like Painting, Cosplay, Food, Game Development and more. Now you can view subdirectories and see highlighted streamers within some of the most popular Creative categories by selecting the hashtags at the top.
And last, but not least, we announced…
Ad-Free Viewing for Subs
Coming soon, when you subscribe to your favorite broadcasters, you’ll be able to watch their streams ad-free! This has been one of the most requested Subscription features, and we can’t wait to make it available soon for all Twitch Partners and their fans. Partners, more details will be coming soon, and you can also visit us at the Twitch Booth (#9044).
Keep an eye on the Twitch Blog for more updates on these new features, and if you want more PAX East coverage, check out the PAX Portal for the full lineup of live shows, panels, and more streaming on Twitch this weekend.
