Twitch at PAX East
PAX East starts Friday and this year we’ll have our biggest presence ever at the show. So if you’re attending in Boston or watching at home, you’re covered.
Joining us in Boston?
Don’t be a stranger! Come visit us at the Twitch Booth (#9044) right in the thick of it all. We’ll be your purple beacon in the swarm of humanity that is PAX. Here’s some of what you can expect to experience this year:
Twitch Stage
The Twitch Stage is where you’ll find Twitch’s Jon Carnage, Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham, and Anna Prosser Robinson joined by ManvsGame, PancakePow, and Swiftor. They’ll be hosting segments with publishers, developers, and content creators all show long. Be sure to check out the PAX Portal for the complete Twitch Stage schedule. So much goodness happening.
Partner Meet & Greet Zone, powered by Old Spice
We’re hosting many of our most popular broadcasters and they want to meet you! Stop by to have them autograph their Kappa cards (and then track down a Best Friends frame to put it in).
As is our PAX tradition, we’re hosting a town hall for the community. Expect to hear new details on this year’s TwitchCon and to find out what else is coming to Twitch in 2016. We hear there may be some new social features announced… Make sure to get there early as the first 500 attendees in line will get a Twitch swag bag and exclusive pin.
When: Friday, April 22nd from 4:00pm-5:00pm EDT
Where: Dragonfly Theatre
H1Z1: King of the Kill Partner Lounge, powered by Corsair (#10045)
Twitch and Daybreak Games have teamed up to kick off the H1Z1 Road to TwitchCon at PAX East. All weekend long Daybreak will be streaming the game from the H1Z1: King of the Kill Partner Lounge, so stop by or tune in to watch some of your favorite broadcasters fight to be the last man standing.
Official Twitch Pin Program
After the copyThis pin took PAX South by storm, we’re bringing pastaThat, its partner in crime, to PAX East. How do you get one? Take your pick.
Be one of the first 50 people in line to play Vainglory at our booth every day.
Be one of the first 500 in line for the Twitch Town Hall.
Be one of the first 75 people to play H1Z1: KotK at the H1Z1: King of the Kill Partner Lounge.
Follow Twitch on Twitter to find out at 2:00pm EDT each day which Twitch staff member is roaming the show floor with a bag of pins to give away.
PJSaltan of Stream
It’s back. It’s saltier. It’s crazier. It’s terrifying (for the competitors). And it’s all for our viewing enjoyment. That’s right, it’s time to begin our search for the next PJSaltan of Stream! Make sure your eyes are on the Twitch Stage to watch it all go down at 1pm on both Friday and Saturday.
Oh is this going to be good. At the PAX Arena you can see some incredible one-of-a-kind exhibitions and high stakes competitions with your favorite broadcasters (and possibly participate yourself)__. Featured games include Street Fighter V (with a special appearance from Steve Aoki) at booth #9253, and Overwatch (including a grudge match with PAX founders Gabe & Tycho) at booth #9251. For the full schedule, visit here.
Intel Broadcaster Zone, partnered with Lenovo
Visit our booth or tune in online to see groups of popular Twitch broadcasters streaming live daily from 12:00pm-6:00pm EDT. In fact, our very own djWHEAT is hosting a special competition between Funhaus and Achievement Hunter with a new tower defense game. Check it out on Saturday 12:30pm-1pm EDT.
Watching the show over the interwebs?
The first place to go is the official PAX Portal. That’s where you can find a complete schedule for all of our official streams. This year we are featuring more live content than ever before, including coverage from the Twitch Stage, PAX Arena, Main Theatre, Albatross Theatre, and Dragonfly Theatre.
Don’t miss a moment
There’s a whole lot to check out at PAX East, so stay updated on all our coverage and any schedule changes, on Twitter and Facebook.
