Announcing PAX Arena, powered by Twitch!
PAX South attendees, it’s time to enter the Arena!
For all fans of competitive gaming who will be heading out to San Antonio this January 29–31st for PAX South 2016, PAX and Twitch have teamed up to bring 6400 square feet of awesome gaming tournament action right to the center of the Expo Hall.
This inaugural edition of the PAX Arena will feature two titles, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, with a prize pool of $10,000 on the line. While the tournament is free to enter for all PAX attendees, we’ll also be spicing things up by flying out some of the world’s best talent to join the competition. Competitors will include previous “Smash @ PAX” champion Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman, Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios, Eric “ESAM” Lew, Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma, Joseph “Mang0” Marquez, and many more!
Rounding out the show is an all-star commentary lineup, including Smash community favorites D’Ron “D1” Maingrette, Phil “EE” Visu, Terrence “TKBreezy” Kershaw, Arian “TheCrimsonBlur” Fathieh, and more.
