PAX Prime 2014 Content Schedule & Viewer Guide
PAX Prime 2014 is this weekend and features an insane amount of awesome content starting Friday straight through to Monday. If you’re a fan of PAX but not able to attend the event, you’ll be pleased to know that you can find everything from PAX — the highly coveted PAX Main Stage and Hedgehog Theatre panels, the Twitch Booth stream, and the premium esports events and game reveals — all right here on the PAX Prime 2014 Event Portal.
Let’s go into a little more detail on exactly what you can expect as a viewer this weekend.
The Twitch Booth Stream
The Twitch booth is back in action for PAX Prime 2014 featuring a plethora of awesome content including game reveals, exclusive gameplay, developer interviews, and mini esports events, such as the TeSPA Collegiate Hearthstone Open, Capcom Pro Tour, and more. Join hosts Jon Carnage, Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham, MANvsGAME, Swiftor, Jordan “Soma” Tayor, and TheJustinFlynn as they bring you the action every day of PAX, 8/29–9/1 from 10am-7pm PDT. For a more in-depth schedule, simply scroll down below the player on twitch.tv/twitch.
The Official PAX Panel Streams
PAX has a long history of hosting awesome gaming industry panels, so awesome and desired that many (if not most) will have lines queued up hours before with fans turned away at the door due to capacity. But you needn’t worry as the Main Stage and Hedgehog Theatre panels will be readily available at all times via the wonders of live streaming. That’s right, you can tune in to twitch.tv/pax and twitch.tv/pax2, 8/29–9/1 from 10am-10pm PDT, to catch all of the action. Full schedules can be found here: Main Stage, Hedgehog Theatre.
The Next Level
Ubisoft’s ‘The Next Level is back for PAX Prime 2014. The innovative new show could be called a gamer’s reality TV show: it’s got everything from coaches to contestants completing challenges and competing for prizes. Tune in 8/29–9/1 from 12pm-6pm PDT at twitch.tv/thenextlevel and click here for more information about the event.
North American LCS Summer Playoffs
Riot’s League of Legends Championship Series inches ever closer to it’s finale in October, but first we’ll see which teams move on to Korea and which will be watching from home! Tension rises as only four teams remain: LMQ, Cloud9, Team Solomid, and Team Curse. Tune in 8/29–8/31 from 11am-6pm PDT on twitch.tv/riotgames to follow the action or visit lolesports.com to learn more.
Halo PAX Prime Showdown
It’s the stateside hands-on debut of Halo: The Master Chief Collection at PAX Prime. Assemble your Spartan fireteam and come qualify in the “Halo PAX Prime Showdown” for a chance at the $10,000 prize pool. Come to the ASTRO Gaming (Booth #842) and Skullcandy Gaming (Booth #3117) areas to get hands-on with Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer and qualify for the Halo PAX Prime Showdown. At the end of the day, we’ll be taking the top performers from each booth, and giving them a spot in the 8-team weekend finals. Play the game, get free swag, and be a part of Halo esports history in the making. For those not able to attend PAX, the Halo panel and all matches of the Halo PAX Prime Showdown will be live streamed starting 8/29–8/31 from 11am-6pm PDT, exclusively on twitch.tv/Halo. Click here for more information.
And More…
If you are lucky enough to attend PAX Prime, then we have a whole lot more in store for you: TOME Tournaments live from the Twitch Booth, Twitch Broadcaster Meet & Greets (with 40+ broadcasters), Twitch Panels, and, of course, the infamous Twitch Party. You can find all that information and more here. Remember that this is just a basic rundown of PAX Prime content, but if you keep your eyes on twitch.tv/event/pax you won’t miss a lick of action all weekend (and Monday!) long.
