Twitch Store Re-Opens to Support Typhoon Haiyan Aid
By now you’ve heard about the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. We noticed, too, and felt we could help.
On November 19, 2013, we re-opened the Twitch Store with the hope of selling at least 1,000 shirts to support the Red Cross’s efforts in helping the people affected by this natural disaster. We ‘re offering limited edition men and women’s Twitch logo shirts in the colors (red, yellow, and blue) of the flag of the Philippines, as well as the always desired Twitch purple. Each shirt includes a print of the island of the Philippines as well as a short note about this effort. The store will remain open until December 2, 2013.
“Given the massive devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan, we want to help out in any way we can,” said Emmett Shear, CEO/Founder of Twitch. “We felt the best way to lend a hand was to use the reach of our platform and the demand for our branded clothing to raise funds, and then to donate all profits toward relief efforts.”
We once again partnered with Teespring to bring you these items. For all of your Twitch Store related customer support questions, please contact Teespring as noted here.
The Twitch community at large has always been fantastic at raising funds for charitable causes. We hope you’ll join us in supporting this effort.
