New Release Tuesday: Revenge of Black Bass Edition
“A video game about fishing? How could that possibly be fun?”
Back in the Nintendo dominated 8-bit generation, there wasn’t an indie gaming community like the one that exists today, but games back then were so experimental in nature that publishers took a chance on just about anything. The new releases this week feature games from all different types of genres, so don’t be afraid to branch out and experiment with something new.
New Releases for Tuesday, April 2–8
Defiance (PC/Xbox/PS3) — SyFy’s grand experiment comes home as Defiance blends the original television series with an MMO shooter.
BattleBlock Theater (Xbox) — The Behemoth returns with their first game since the highly acclaimed Castle Crashers, this time with a co-operative / competitive platformer.
Cities in Motion 2 (PC) — The popular transportation management sim gets a sequel, featuring both competitive and cooperative multiplayer.
Evoland (PC) — A homage to adventure games throughout the various generations of gaming, with gameplay that transitions between classic 2D and fully-rendered 3D graphics.
Sang-Froid — Tales of Werewolves (PC) — A hybrid strategy RPG that has players carefully exploring and arranging defenses during the day, while fighting werewolves at night.
Super Black Bass 3D (3DS) — Exotic locals, over 30 different types of fish. Get hype for the return of the Black Bass!
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge (Xbox/PS3) — An upgraded version of Ninja Gaiden 3, Razors Edge features all the enhancements from the Wii U port, along with a few extra costumes.
