Discover New Twitch Broadcasters With Streamception
When Streamception launched in December 2012, we were thoroughly impressed with not only its ability to surface unsung Twitch broadcasters, but also by its implementation of our web API. With the redesign of our directory pages and “random” search, now is a great time to take another look at Streamception.
Best described as a roulette wheel of all things Twitch, Streamception allows you to search randomly for live Twitch channels, set a viewer cap to avoid more popular streams, and even limit your search to exclude some of the most popular games on the site. By signing in with your Twitch account you can then rate the current channel, follow it to receive live alerts, and open the channel itself in a new window.
What are your thoughts on Streamception? Do you find any value in a project like this, and would you be interested in seeing something like this implemented into Twitch proper? Do you know of any other Twitch related projects you’d like us to share with the rest of the community? Lend us your thoughts via spirit bomb and throw them into the comments section below.
