New Release Tuesday: Digital Overlords Edition
Just how massive is Call of Duty? It can headline our weekly release post with DLC. Actually, it’s a pretty significant release as its the first map pack for Black Ops II, but that’s not to say the rest of the releases are slouches, especially if you’re a strategy fan.
New Releases for Tuesday, January 29 — February 5
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Revolution Map Pack (PC, Xbox, PS3) — Featuring five new maps (one of which is exclusively for zombies co-op), Call of Duty’s first ever DLC weapon and the “Turned” mode for zombies.
Dungeonland (PC) — This action RPG puts a fresh spin on the formula set by the Diablo series in allowing a fourth player control the dungeon itself, setting traps and spawning monsters for other players.
Skulls of the Shogun (PC, XBL) — The long-awaited indie strategy title finally arrives on Xbox Live and PC, with an emphasis on accessibility and strategic thinking.
Omerta: City of Gangsters (PC) — From the developers of the famed Topico franchise comes this city-strategy builder set in the 1920’s.
Proteus (PC) — A unique and surreal exploration game in the vein of Dear Esther.
What do you think about this games releases? I’m looking forward to checking out Omerta, personally. Dungeonland also presents some very fascinating potential when it comes to broadcasting, since you’re essentially trying to sabotage everyone else in your game.
