New Release Tuesday: My Neighbor Mad Dog McCree Edition
While Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has been a popular game amongst the Twitch community since its Japanese release (I remember watching a ton of it via MANvsGAME), the Studio Ghibli inspired RPG is sure to find a whole new audience with its highly anticipated English release.
Other exciting releases include Ron Gilbert’s The Cave, along with the New Zealand developed hack-and-slash, Path of Exile. The latter has been in closed beta for quite some time, but has maintained a decent amount of popularity, due largely in part to broadcasters such as Kripparrian.
New Releases for Tuesday, January 22
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (PS3) — AKA the most gorgeous game ever, Ni no Kuni combines the legendary good looks of a Studio Ghibli film with the addictive elements of Pokémon.
Path of Exile (PC) — This impressive F2P hack-and-slash takes inspiration from the horror themes present in the original Diablo, and sports modern gameplay to go toe-to-toe with it as well.
The Cave (PC, XBL, PSN, WIIU) — Ron Gilbert returns with an idea twenty years in the making, and one that pays homage to his original hit, Maniac Mansion.
Strike Suit Zero (PC) — The first game from UK developer Born Ready Games is a Kickstarter-funded shooter featuring space mechs.
Mad Dog McCree (PSN) — The future past of video games returns! For as long as there are new forms of interactive media, there will be ports of FMV games.
What do you think of this weeks releases? Looking forward to picking any of these games up? Have some fond memories of Mad Dog McCree to share? Let us know!
